Is a HD ready Tv a requirement for a playstation 3?

No. You can hook up your PS3 to your regular or normal tv and you can still play your PS3. HDTV is only for rich people and if you’re trying to impress your friends. But, hey, if you have HDTV why not?

No. The PS3 only comes with the composite cables, which is for regular TV. When Sony made the PS3, it was aware that not everyone is going to have a HD TV, so they made the PS3 playable on a regular TV.

the console will still work without an hdtv the thing is the picture quality will not look so great u would need an hdtv to get the full picture from ur ps3

Your console will work just fine with a regular TV. The only thing is you will get a better Top quality gaming experience and Blu Ray experience with the HD TV. Im playing on a tube TV that ive had since 1991

You definitely don’t need one. Sure the picture looks beyond amazing in HD but there are sooo many features on the Ps3 that it would be a shame to not buy one just because you don’t have a HDTV.
