How to get “REFERRALS”
One of the biggest challenges to getting freebies is getting people to sign up and complete an offer, most people are very skeptical when it comes to the sites I use and I don’t blame them! Their are a lot of scammers in the world, if you don’t protect your self then you could lose out.
Though lucky for you and me the freebie sites I use are very much legit, but how do we convince friends and family that they are the real deal when you have not managed to get anything at all?
Start Small…
I know that sounds a little strange but what do I mean about starting small… Well, it’s very easy to go straight for the BIG freebies straight away, the 22 referrals or even bigger the 43 referral Macbooks which would take a long time to get even for some one like me.
I would suggest you all start small for your first freebie gift, the iPod Shuffle or even an iPod Nano are not that many referrals and you can easily get friends and family to sign up for these items. This way you can take images of your gift and show that you really did get this item for free to convince even more people that it’s actually possible.
Who do you ask to sign up?
Now we all have Facebook accounts, use them! I see many people with over 100 friends on my account, so I know most of you will probably have the same. Send messages to friends, post on your wall, let the world know that you are getting free items on Facebook. Start a group or a page, it’s a great way of getting referrals!
Friends and family won’t give you a continued flow of referrals, so using sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace is a great way of getting people to sign up through your link.
In fact Freebiejeebies already has a bookmarking tool within the “Referral” section of your account, this will give you tons of sites that you can submit your referral link too.
Building a website/blog?
I’m going to add up some resources here to help you build a mini referral site, this site will allow you to get referrals either via search engines or even act as a sales page from a business card. Websites are the best way to show people what you have got and show how you got your freebies. Many top freebie hunters now have websites and use them to get even more referrals!
You don’t have to be a web designer to own a website, it is now possible to just simply create a free blog from freeĀ hosting sites that allow you to simply write up your content and post away!
Again, this is not the final part on websites and blogs, I have tons of links and resources to share so bookmark this and keep coming back as I don’t want any of you guy to miss out!
That’s it for now, don’t forget to sign up to Freebiejeebies and get your account rocking and rolling to get your free item!
