What is the best game in your opinion that has come out in the last 5 years, for either PS2, PS3, XBOX, XBOX 360, or Wii.
I would have to say my favorite is Resident Evil 4 for PS2

Should I buy Playstation 3 now or is it too late?
I currently have an Xbox 360 (biggest purchasing mistake of my life) and it went bad with the red ring of death. I sent it to Texas to be fixed and I’m going to sell the refurbished unit they sell back. I’M DONE WITH MICROSOFT. So should I buy a Playstation 3 now or wait for Playstation 4? My main concern is playstation 4 coming out too early. Thanks to everyone…. Except Microsoft.

Im really stumped on this one, im not sure if i should get an xbox 360 or playstation 3, i’ve been reading mixed reviews on both consoles. A Lesson In Online Gaming For Mom and Dad Just In Time For The Holidays
Parents are wondering more then ever what are these terms my child is using? Well usually there getting these terms from the games you bought them that they play online with older and better people.
The days of playing board games are over at least until the power goes out. Kids do not want to play monopoly anymore; they want to play Gears of War and Halo 3 with all their friends online. That is what you will hear from them is, “Dad, I want an Xbox 360 for Christmas so I can play Halo3 online with other people so I don’t have to bug you to play with me.” That is sort of what you will hear at that time of the year.
If you have a computer and an internet connection you can start playing games today. Games like counterstrike and day of defeat and call of duty those are all games that you can play online with other people and have fun. You can actually talk to them and have conversations with people online where as playing by you gets boring and old fast.
The games that kids will play at school will be different then what they play at home. At school they will be playing simple flash games that they can download off the internet or just go to a site and start playing. Simple games like Bowman, simple Counterstrike and other games that will be allowed by the schools server is what they will play. Many kids nowadays know how to get around the schools server and do this everyday. I know when I was in school I got away with going around the servers easily all I did was go to Google and type in getting around proxy servers and so many websites popped up for gaming.
The last type of gaming that is taking over today’s gaming is shooter games. These games are becoming more and more popular because of the violence and role that they are able to play in the game. You can shoot someone and see blood go everywhere and they think it’s cool to play. Well I play Counterstrike and it’s not that bloody and gory all it is, is you playing against the terrorists online. I mean it is the number 1 rated online action game of today. No other game can compare to Counterstrike except those made from the same company as it. You just go online and start playing right away and before you know it you’re pretty good at it and then you become obsessed with it unlike many other people I am not obsessed with the game. People will sit there and play it for hours before they even flinch. That is obsessed and should be looked at by doctors as to why they cannot stop playing. People will play crazy hours like 50 or 60 hours a week I have even heard of people playing more than 100 hours a week.

Whichever model you have, the Xbox is one of the more popular gaming consoles available today even though it was Microsoft’s first attempt at entering the gaming console business when it was released in 2001. Its director competitors are the Sony Playstation and the Nintendo Gamecube.
Why Create the Xbox?
It might seem strange to ask why anyone would create such a gaming console, looking back on the success of this product and those like it. But as they say, hindsight is 20/20. It’s very easy to look back on the success of this product and just assume that Microsoft created the Xbox for the money it would bring in. However, the reality is that as more and more gaming consoles were being created in the mid to late 1990’s, these were actually cutting into Microsoft’s dominance in the computer industry. People were turning off their PCs in exchange for turning on their gaming consoles, hooked up to the larger screens of their televisions and allowing more than one person to play. Creating the Xbox was not so much a move for commercialism as it was a move for financial survival. Any successful business will tell you that as the market goes, so should the development.
Using the Xbox Today
No matter what the product or system there will always be competition and the Xbox is no different. Every month there are new systems and new games that can be used only on its competition, but despite all of this, like so many other Microsoft products, it still seems to lead the market share in sales and overall popularity. Of course the consistent price drop it has experienced since its first model was released also helps; when first released just before Christmas in 2001, the average retail price was $299 USD; the most recent figures list average retail price as around $79 USD.
In 1995 the Xbox 360 was introduced and this essentially rendered the original model obsolete. Through emulation the 360 is able to support a limited number of games designed for the original model. The newer games for the 360 are what really set this model apart; in 2004, Halo 2 set records as the highest-grossing release in entertainment history making over $125 million in its first day.
Upgrading
So are you considering upgrading your Xbox? If you don’t have a 360, it’s time to get one. The older model isn’t made anymore and whatever games you have for it are all you’re going to get. You see how there’s been good reason for the Xbox to be developed in the first place, and there’s good reason to get the latest model there is. So stop waiting; get your newer model today!
