How To Market Your Referral Link - Step 1: Building a Site With WordPress

I promised I would show you how to get them referrals once you had signed up, so here it is! Today we will be learning how to build a site and to get it noticed to the world via the big old world of the Internet, don’t be scared this is not as hard as you may think!

The best method of getting referrals and getting your offers completed is creating a web site which explains to the user a step by step guide on how they can get what they are looking without any trouble at all. But where do you start when creating a web site?

Now, depending on your budget you could either go through a web hosting company such as Bluehost and get a free domain with their package or you could find a free hosting site which will have ads and limits on what you can do.

In this review I will be showing you how to use Bluehost (Since that is what I use!) and to design a site using WordPress which is a blog script that allows you to update your site on the go, this entire site uses Wordpress and is one of the many reasons why I also rank well in Google since Google has a soft spot for Wordpress blogs.

Right, below is what you will need to create a site like this.

  1. Web Hosting (Bluehost are cheap and fast)
  2. Domain Name (Comes free with your Bluehost package)
  3. WordPress Blog Script (Comes free with your Bluehost Package)

Thats it! They are the 3 things you will need, the Wordpress script will not be hard to install, Bluehost use cpanel for your controle panel once you have logged in, within cpanel is a great feature called “Fantastico” which allows you to install well known scripts (Like Wordpress) at the click of a button. Once you have signed up to bluehost and have everything set up then login to your account and click on fantastic.

You will need to:

  1. Login to your cpanel (You can access it either from Bluehost.com web site or through your site from http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel/)
  2. Find the “Fantastico” Icon and click on it (The icon looks normally looks like a smiley face so you can’t miss it)
  3. Select WordPress on the left hand side (WordPress will be under the “Blog” script section)
  4. Following the easy to use install wizard (You can’t go wrong but please take notes to be save)

It’s that simple, once you have done the above you can then enter in your URL to your site and to see the default wordpress has now been installed, congratulation you now have your very first web site!

The next thing to do is to login to the controle panel of WordPress and to edit the settings and to add some content (NOTE: The login to WordPress is not the same as cpanel for your web site) then you can start telling people how to sign up to the freebie networks.

For now, get used to WordPress, learn how to add content and how to add links to your site, you will never have to use a package such as Front Page or Dreamweaver to make web sites or to update your site again. You can now update and add new content to your site from any PC/Laptop with an Internet connection, it’s that simple and will make your life a lot easyier.
