    Dead space?…

In my own opinion, i think is the residual volume in lung. These is the air volume that no matter how you tried force it out, it will not come out. Its function is to prevent collapse of our lungs.

So i think it is a dead space. we can’t do anything about it.

In physiology, dead space is air that is inhaled by the body in breathing, but does not partake in gas exchange. It includes mouth and trachea. In adults, it is usually in the range of 150 mL
